Prompt Manager: save your translation instructions and reuse them
Keep common translation instructions in BabelBee and apply a saved prompt when uploading files, with room to adapt it for each project.
Client tone, target audience, naming conventions: typing the same requirements for every upload takes time and makes details easy to miss. BabelBee’s Prompt Manager lets you save those instructions as templates and reuse them when creating a project.
Keep common instructions together
Open Prompt Manager in the utility toolkit to create, preview, edit, duplicate, copy or delete prompts. Search names, text and tags, or filter by category and language direction. You might keep separate templates for game localization, business copy and technical documentation.
Personal prompts are visible only to you and follow your account across workspaces. Members with the required permissions in paid workspaces can also manage shared workspace templates.
Apply a template during upload
Go to Preferences → Customize translation → Additional requirements → Choose a prompt. Preview and apply a template, then adapt its text to the current project.
For example, a player-facing translation brief might say:
Write natural, concise French for players in France. Address the player as tu. Preserve each character’s voice and avoid overly formal wording.
The project saves its own copy of the instructions. Editing that copy does not automatically update your template, and later changes to—or deletion of—the template do not alter existing projects. You can also view saved project instructions in the translation workbench.
Available on Free
Each user can save up to 50 personal prompts, with up to 10,000 characters per template. Project instructions allow 500 characters on Free and 1,000 on paid plans, so shorten a longer template before applying it to a project.
Prompts supplement the applicable AI processing stages with project requirements. For terminology that must be followed consistently, use a glossary alongside your instructions.
Open Prompt Manager and start with one translation requirement you regularly type again.
